Steve Cohen, CEO and Founder
Steve has over 20 years experience as a software developer/designer/entrepreneur and is currently deploying responsive & adaptive EE-Collaborate enterprise healthcare communities, which focus on diabetes and wound care. The EE-Collaborate communities support peer to peer and peer to patient interaction and engagement. Technologies include: .NET, JEE, Angular JS, LAMP, CSS3, HTML5, Responsive Web, jQuery, and Bootstrap
As the founder of Electric Effect, Steve has personally envisioned and managed the development and deployment of each product, including EE-Collaborate Community platform, SMART Site, SMART HUB, SMART Cloud applications, and the associated machine learning processes. During his 20 years managing enterprise portal application analysis, development, deployment and maintenance, he has worked with a range of companies such as Best Life Rewarded, geko Devices, Welsh Wound Initiative, the YellowPages Group (Yellow Media), Government of Ontario (Ministry of Health), Cogeco Cable, Quebecor, and Bell ActiMedia.
He also specializes in analyzing and developing integrated social marketing strategies and tactics for healthcare organizations, focusing on best practices, operations, reach, conversion and engagement.

And he has a Bengal cat, Ginger, who is essentially a mooch for body heat at night.

Douglas Queen, BSc, MBA, PhD
President
Dr. Queen is an integral member of the Electric Effect Management team. Providing a unique academic and business background in HealthCare, Douglas provides key strategic business advisement and product refinement for Electric Effect. He is also responsible for developing global marketing & sales.
With over 25 years of expertise Dr. Queen, received his PhD in Biomedical Engineering studying Wound Care Dressings in 1986 from University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, UK, and also earned his MBA from Manchester Business School, University of Manchester, UK in 1996. Douglas also spent 13 years working for ConvaTec both in Research and Development & in Sales and Marketing in North America & Europe.
Dr. Queen is also CEO of TraxMedica, and his own medical device consultancy business. Douglas is also the Editor for the International Wound Journal.
In addition to his consultancy work, Dr. Queen is an Honorary Research Fellow of Cardiff University and throughout his research career. Dr. Queen has worked with leading biomaterial scientists and clinicians around the world.

Zuhua Luo, PhD
VP of IT, and Lead Application Architect and Developer
Zuhua is the senior analyst and lead application developer for Electric Effect. As the application development manager for Electric Effect, Zuhua directs the core application design and architecture for EE-Collaborate Community Portal, SMART Site, SMART HUB, and SMART Cloud, leading the development team in Canada. He leads all new product R&D, including machine learning processes.
Zuhua is an IT professional specializing in software application solution architecture, development, design, analysis, implementation and deployment as well as project management. Zuhua is a Java/J2EE/JEE guru, and has extensive working experience in multi-tier enterprise system design and development by using Java/J2EE/JEE/Spring/Seam/Hibernate frameworks and technologies under Unix and Windows environment.
Zuhua is skilled with various modeling/IDE tools, application servers, databases, design patterns and frameworks, including Eclipse, RUP, Jbuilder, RAD, Websphere AS, JBoss AS, Weblogic AS, Borland AS, Apache Web server, Oracle DB, MySQL, NoSQL. He is also trained in database design and development, data modeling, PL/SQL, SQL*Plus, SQL Loader, Data Migration, ETL, Replication and Data Warehouse.
To complement his 16 years experience in application development, Zuhua has a PhD in Applied Mathematics and Computing from the University of Leicester, England, Sun Certified Enterprise Architect (SCEA), Business Component Developer (SCBCD) and Java Programmer (SCJP), Oracle Certified Professional (OCP DBA for 9i), and is a Software Engineering Project Management Certified Professional.
Gang Luo, Application Developer
Gang Luo is an Android/iOS and Web Application developer with over 6-years experience. Skilled in JEE, Restful, web service, JSON, Android, Swift(iOS), Object-C( iOS), and Apache Tiles+Spring+Hibernate framework and technologies, and web technologies AngularJS, JQuery, Javascript, HTML4/5.
Gang is part of the Electric Effect development team, helping build the EE-Collaborate Community platform, SMART Site, SMART HUB, and SMART Cloud applications, as well as assisting in the new product R&D, including machine learning processes.
He holds a bachelor degree in engineering and a postgraduate certificate in Mobile Application Development.
